Martha Pierce
Martha Pierce has served in local church ministry for 15 years and another 20 in camp and retreat leadership. Her passion is hospitality – ensuring all who come are welcome, comfortable and have a good time while they learn, grow and serve. She has served camps in Florida, Kansas, and Hawaii prior to and while living at Narrow Ridge Earth Literacy Center in Washburn, TN. Working with Mountain T.O.P. is a wonderful opportunity to learn and grow with the staff as we serve central Tennessee.
Martha has one daughter, who lives in Knoxville. She shares life with 2 dogs and 3 cats. Her hobbies include pottery, embroidery, and music. A love of the natural world drives her to learn about each environment in which she lives. Being so near to Greeter Falls and Falls Creek Falls is very exciting for her.
Executive Director
Rev. Rachael Jorstad
After graduating from Miami University with a degree in Professional Writing and Sustainability in 2016, Rachael moved to Tennessee to work at Mountain T.O.P. In that role, she oversaw volunteer logistics, program assessment, and spiritual life programming. Rachael graduated from Vanderbilt Divinity School with a Master of Theological Studies in 2022 and is a provisional deacon in the United Methodist Church.
Currently, Rachael serves as Director of Formation and Impact. In this role, she works on volunteer and summer staff recruitment, communications, and big-picture programming initiatives. She cares about creating spaces for people to encounter God through contemplative practices to become more generous, grounded, and loving people. Rachael has a husband, Cody, and 2 dogs, Jake and George. She loves reading and considers chocolate chip cookies to be her favorite food group.
Director of Formation & Impact
Hailey Williams
Hailey is originally from Collierville, TN. She graduated from the University of Memphis with a B.S. in Nursing in 2018 and has spent the last handful of years practicing as a pediatric nurse.
Hailey first came to Mountain T.O.P. as a camper and later served on summer staff for two summers. She’s excited to shift into nonprofit ministry and return to serving on the Mountain. As Director of Camp Operations, Hailey is responsible for all the people coming through the gates of camp, from the moment of registration all the way through their post-event follow-ups. Hailey is also in charge of all our merchandise in the camp store and canteen. During the summer, one of her main roles is supporting the Day Camp program and staff. Hailey also organizes and facilitates our annual Fall Festival. A fun fact about Hailey is that she and her husband, JT, have visited 26 national parks together.

Annabel Hines
Annabel is from Germantown, Tennessee and graduated from The University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a B.S. in Food Science. Annabel loves to be outdoors and make art!
Annabel started volunteering with Mountain T.O.P. in 2017, serving on Summer Staff for two years and in AmeriCorps for a year before becoming a Service Area Manager. Annabel handles all home repair requests, manages our relationships with homeowners, and works to match the skills of the volunteers to projects. She also manages the planning, delivery, and completion of all our home repair projects, in addition to updating van notebooks and construction guides for volunteers. Additionally, Annabel has her contractor’s license!

Nelson Cummiskey
Nelson is originally from Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Finance in 2024 and has since worked in finance and mortgage lending operations.
His first experience with Mountain T.O.P. was as a service project camper in 2015 and served on summer staff in 2021 and 2022. As Home Repair Coordinator, he will support the planning and implementation of all home repair projects and will support summer staff during YSM. He loves being outside and hopes to visit every national park.
Home Repair Coordinator
Courtney Roberts is originally from Thompson’s Station, Tennessee and graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Plant & Soil Science. She has since moved around the Southeast working with non-profits and youth programs for the past 15 years.
She serves as the Resource Development Coordinator at Mountain T.O.P. and enjoys planning fundraising events, writing grants, and telling the story of our organization.
With a background in agriculture and a love for animals and the environment, Courtney lives on a farm in Manchester with her husband, two daughters, and plenty of critters. When she is not outside with her goats, miniature donkeys, chickens, and rabbits, she can be found somewhere in the garden with a good book.
