Friends Weekend
February 26 - March 1, 2026
Cumberland Pines
Coalmont, TN
Friends Weekend is a time to meet up with all near and far Mountain T.O.P. friends! You have the option to help work on repairs around our facilities or to explore the area. Friends Weekend is “Pay What You Can.” As a “thank you” for contributing to our facility projects, you can choose what you pay for the weekend.
On Friday night, we will hold a dedication ceremony as we rename the kitchen of the Dining Hall “Ken’s Kitchen” after Ken Swift.
On Saturday night, join us for an evening of fellowship and celebration!
Enjoy a mocktail hour with live music starting at 4:30 PM, along with our Silent Auction (online and in person). Dinner will be served at 6:00 PM. We’ll also honor our 2025 Volunteer of the Year, Community Partner of the Year, and induct new members into the Fishers of People Hall of Fame.
Those who register for Friends Weekend do not need to register separately for Saturday night’s festivities.
2026 Projects
In an effort to prepare our summer cabins for air conditioning, volunteers will work on closing in the walls and ceilings of 5 of our cabins by adding some structural support, insulation, then installing plywood. If you have electrical experience, we will also run wiring.
Priority 1: Summer Cabins
Volunteers will remove damaged siding from various cabins, install new T1-11 and OSB siding, and paint (depending on the weather).
Priority 2: Siding Repair
Volunteers will remove the damaged metal, repair lathing and rafters, then install new metal. This project is also weather-dependent.
