2025 Award Winners
Every year at our Friends Weekend, we honor our Community Partner and Volunteer of the Year, as well as announce our newest inductees into the Fisher of People Hall of Fame.
2025 Community Partners of the Year
McMinnville Rotary Club: They granted us $9,000, which enabled us to upgrade our inventory of power tools. These upgrades help our volunteers complete home repair projects more efficiently and safely! Father Charlie McClain of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church accepted the award on behalf of the Rotary Club.
Privet Monument: They have been a huge asset to us in getting our Memorial Wall started. This local family-owned business has built and etched the wall and the memorial benches!
2025 Volunteer of the Year
Mark Sweet has volunteered with Mountain T.O.P. for over 20 years. He has served with Youth Summer Ministry, Adults in Ministry, and Friends Weekend. Mark has been an especially valuable contributor to many facility projects, specifically helping us with repairing the Dining Hall roof and our air conditioning project last year. We are so grateful for Mark’s constant support and presence!
2025 Fisher of People Hall of Fame Inductees
The Fisher of People Hall of Fame celebrates long-time and dedicated volunteers whose generous support and presence support our mission. Inductees are voted on by the Mountain T.O.P. staff, Board of Directors, and existing inductees. We welcome three new people into the Hall of Fame: Anita Burleson, John Carney, and Debbie Swords.
Anita Burleson
Anita Burleson has been a faithful volunteer for 20 years, serving with Adults in Ministry and Friends Weekend. Anita has a can-do attitude and always brings a smiling face to any worksite.
John Carney
John Carney was a Board member and an AIM participant with Summer Plus for many years, teaching story writing and journalism. John was part of the editorial board for the 20th and 50th anniversary storybooks.
Debbie Swords
Debbie Swords has also been a long-time volunteer with Mountain T.O.P. with Adults in Ministry and Friends Weekend. She has been the driving force behind her and her husband, Phil's, involvement at Mountain T.O.P. over the last 20+ years.
