2026 Fall Season Wrap-Up

The month of October at Mountain T.O.P. is full of impact! Our Adults in Ministry volunteers are dedicated to serving through home repair and hosting the Fall Festival. We are so grateful for our volunteers who show up, serve wholeheartedly, and sustain the good work we’re doing in the community.

This fall, we welcomed 108 volunteers; 75 of those folks worked with home repair, and 33 of them hosted the Fall Festival. Together, they completed over 1,500 hours of labor!

100% of our volunteers agreed they felt they made an impact on those they served!

“I love Mountain T.O.P. I always make great relationships and never want to leave. Thank you for another amazing experience! Love my entire MTOP family!”
— Volunteer from Speedway, IN

Mountain T.O.P. staff and volunteers worked on all sorts of projects this fall. We installed new siding and windows, renovated bathrooms, laid new flooring, and replaced roofs.

Over the course of several weeks, homeowners opened up more and more and became more comfortable with the volunteers working on their home. Even though there is a new group of volunteers each weekend, the Mountain T.O.P. staff are the consistent foundation in building relationships and trust, making the process smoother and more comfortable for the homeowners. Staff and volunteers take time to hear stories, receive feedback, and grow in their relationships with the homeowners.

Every weekend, our volunteers were inspired to share the light that dwells uniquely within each of them. We all have a light to share with the world. That light may come in the form of construction skills, a ministry of presence, a personal testimony of God’s faithfulness, or a helping hand. As long as we have breath in our lungs, we have a light to share with the world!

Throughout the weekend, we contemplated how we are sometimes called to wait for God. We aren’t always great at waiting—some of us want to force ahead with our own plan, some of us become too passive—but we are called to have a faithful expectancy. We can be sure God is moving, even when we don’t know how or when. We also reflected on how God’s light has changed us. Again, that change may look different for all of us. Some of us have experienced lightning bolt moments when everything seemed to change in an instant. Others have experienced change like a slow sunrise, gradual and subtle. As we grow and evolve in our faith, we can hope in the transformation of becoming more and more like Christ.

“The morning devotionals were impactful because they stay with you all day. It is nice to have a focused thinking point of what the mission is during the day.”
— Volunteer from Columbia, TN
