2025 Fall Season Wrap-Up
Throughout September and October, we welcomed 114 participants to Mountain T.O.P. to serve on multiple home repair projects and host the Fall Festival.
Over the course of 6 weekends, our volunteers worked a total of 1,704 hours. The Independent Sector values volunteer labor in Tennessee at $30.55 per hour. Therefore, the value of our volunteer labor this fall was $52,057.20.
“The God faith centered message is ever present. It’s present in the people serving working on staff, in the community. It’s such a positive message of HOPE, EMPATHY, and care.”
Mountain T.O.P. worked with 6 families this fall.
Our volunteers repaired two new roofs, laid new flooring, framed walls with new electrical and insulation, and built new steps.
The most affordable home is one that a family already lives in. The repairs that Mountain T.O.P. staff and volunteers made this fall preserve the health of a home, not just for the current homeowner but for future generations, as well. Our homes age just like we do, making repairs like these vital to a homeowner’s health and safety.
“The most impactful thing about serving through home repair was the homeowner—she was so excited to see the progress we made.”
A highlight during this season is always Fall Festival!
What started as a shoe distribution event in 2012 has evolved into an incredible community-wide festival. Mountain T.O.P. gives away shoes, coats, winter accessories, hygiene items, and books to folks of all ages. We offer hayrides, games for children, live music, and a free lunch. Several local community organizations have booths to share about their programs and services.
Everything that is given away is donated by generous partners and donors. Friends of Mountain T.O.P. from far and wide rally together to provide our community with those coats, shoes, books, toothbrushes, or winter accessories.
229 pairs of shoes
326 coats
200 hats, gloves, and scarves
1,500 books
270 hygiene kits
“I keep serving at Mountain T.O.P. because you can clearly see the impact. You can tell that we are not just here to feel better about ourselves, but to help others feel more comfortable and safe in their lives.”
